Objective No.16 - A healthy life: |
Till the end of the century the effort of active promotion of health lifestyles (generated by balanced nutrition, physical activity and healthy sex life and efficient stress management) must be continued. This can be done through a holistic approach of the healthy lifestyle. This includes the following:
- Increasing the individual awareness of the importance of a healthy in a healthy environment
- Improving and developing of the cooperation capacity with other people and daily life events
- Promoting healthy nutrition based on a diet and standard recommendation, chosen and validated as optimal by clinic research
- Promoting sports and other free time activities
-
Encouraging of individuals to offer and receive social support through active
participation in support networks.
The promotion of health remodeled the way it is perceived. There is a shift towards
those measures, which help people increase their performance and well-being state
along with the prevention of illness.
Stress Management:
Physical and mental health depends of the ability of coping with daily life stress. Daily physical exercises, relaxation and social interaction are several methods of doing this. People who feel that they have control over their life and activities get ill seldom and the effect of stress has a positive outcome, as opposed to those who can’t cope with stress (because of the speedy social changes, loneliness, limitations, work or family worries or unemployment). The later are more likely to develop quick degradation of physical and psychical health.
Health promoting programs must recognize the importance of people’s ability to cope with stress as a fundamental factor in choosing the option to a healthy lifestyle. Overweight, smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction and the absence of daily physical exercises are signs of incapacity of coping with stressing agents.
Healthcare professionals have to develop their interest and abilities for promoting healthiness along with studying new approaches.
Active methods of stress management must be conceived and promoted. This can include:
- The ability of solving daily problems
- Balance between work and rest
- The ability to relax during the stressful situation (e.g. through the daily use of The Radiance Technique®)
- Sport
- Meditation (The Radiance Technique® is a method of Meditation using the hand application)
- Other recreational activities
A special attention must be paid to the training of every person to get the necessary skills involved in cooperating with stress. Also it is important to remove the avoidable stresses and to remove the inner action of the one which can’t be avoided.

Objective 14 – Health promotion and the workplace: |
It is very important to help employers (institutions or
companies) understand that the option for a healthy work environment for their
employees is a wise business decision. In unhealthy and stressing workplaces many of
the employees are smoking, get hypertension, are overweight and have sedentary
lifestyles, get more easily addicted to drug or alcohol, are more likely to get back
pains and to get ill because of the overwork.
Economic reasons for which a company shall offer healthy workplaces and work
relations are easy to see:
- Every owner, manager or employer (of a state of private organization) wants productivity. This can be increased if their employees and their families are happy.
- Ill-related absenteeism, either of the employee or for their families, costs a lot or affects the needed workflow. This can be lowered by a proper workplace and work relations.
- Medical costs supported by the employee, for him and for his family, including the medical insurance supported by the employee, will be greatly reduced.
- Employees and their family are often the most important clients and at the same time the most important resource of the company.
Along with those stated we can come to the conclusion that investing into the employer’s health by creating proper workplaces and work relations, along with a continuing education in healthy lifestyles, is a safe decision. Significant payback ($6 for every $1 invested in employee’s health education) can be achieved in the long-term, for the company, community and the employer and his family.
As well, no company can afford to:
- ruin its healthcare resources by ignoring the measures of promotion of an healthy lifestyle and work conditions
- prematurely overuse of the workforce so difficult to train and select
- Loose its competitive position gained with so much effort on the economic market, by having direct or indirect high costs caused by decreased performance and employee health degradation.
- The information presented on this web page do not exclude or replace the diagnostic, treatment or medical procedures.
- The procedures and recommendations included in the "Get In Shape" Active Stress Management program that uses The Radiance Technique®, globally reduce the amount of drugs consumed and the amount of medical actions required by preventing healthy persons to get ill. At the same time already sick persons will experience a diminishing of secondary effect produced by the administered medication and a increase in the positive results of the treatment if they will follow a synergic combination of prescribed treatments and / or medical procedures recommended by a specialized medical doctor and the application of The Radiance Technique® as instructed.
